Amelia aka Meels

I was born and raised in a pretty small city with about twenty-two thousand people in it. After graduating in 2005 I realized that I wanted to move as far away as possible from my hometown and go to college. In September, 2006, myself and three others packed up and moved across the country to Phoenix, AZ.

In 2009 I returned to Portland, ME and I am now a full-time Web designer specializing in Web site design and development. My passion is front-end design and code, but I am very skillful in other areas. Each project is unique with its own functionality, appealing design and with the user in mind. I have graduated with a BA degree in Web Design and Interactive Media from the Art Institute of Phoenix. I design with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash. The Web sites I create are coded in XHTML and CSS, they also sometimes include a little of JavaScript, Actionscript, and PHP.

Joan aka Joanie

Ever since I got my first camera when I was a little girl I have loved to take pictures. Everywhere I went with my friends I took my camera along too! I took pictures of my friends, of myself and of my surroundings. Maine has so much beauty and I want to capture it all. In high school I took a black and white photography class and absolutely fell in love with everything about photography, the history, the cameras, how to make prints! I was so sad when that class was over, but it didn’t stop me from taking pictures. I later attended a few different photography classes at Southern Maine Community College. I later moved to North Carolina where I went to school to become a Registered Medical Assistant. I never thought that photography would become something more than a passion until one day I was taking pictures of a friend and it hit me that I could do this for a living and make so many people happy by taking their pictures! So here I am a young, determined girl ready to take on the world one photograph at a time.
